Air Operations in the China Area (July 1937-August 1945)

Japanese Monograph No. 76

by Military History Section Headquarters, Army Forces Far East.

published by Historica Aviation Publications

This is a reprint of the Japanese Monograph No. 76, "Air Operations in the China Area, July 1937 - August 1945” and it deals with the very little known area of Japanese Air Force operations in China during and prior to World War II, which is of great interest to the author of this website (see Sino-Japanese Air War 1937-45). With a combination of thirty-four charts, tables, orders of battle, and nine maps there is a great deal of detail in this monograph. The approach is analytical, although there are sections that are chronological showing day to day operations. The emphasis is on the IJAAF operations given the fact that they were the predominant Japanese air force operating in China.
The monograph is a “must” for the serious researcher interested in this area.

The monograph has 135 pages, 34 charts and 9 maps. The price for this monograph is $18.50.
