Tang Pu-Sheng

In August 1938 Tang Pu-Sheng served as a squadron commander in the 4th PG.

On 18 August three Japanese nine-aircraft flights attacked Hengyang in Hunan Province. Tang Pu-Sheng took off to meet them with two other I-15bis and attacked the Japanese aircraft five times. He shot down an enemy aircraft and single-handedly dove after nine Japanese aircraft. His aircraft was however hit and he went down in flames and was killed in action.
In this combat two more Chinese Hawk pilots were killed, one was seriously wounded, and one more killed on the ground.

At the time of his death Tang Pu-Sheng was credited with 1 biplane victory.
