Major Evgeni Ivanovich Bocharov

1921 –

Evgeni Bocharov was born in 1921.

In December 1941, Mladshii Leitenant Bocharov served in 659 IAP, flying I-15bis with this unit.

On 2 February 1942, he claimed a Ju 87 while still flying the I-15bis.

Pavlov was posted from 659 IAP in March 1942 and posted to 12 IAP in May the same year.
With this unit, Bocharov flew Yak-1s, Yak-7s and Yak-9s.

On 1 May 1943, the 12 IAP became the 89 GIAP.

Bocharov ended the war with 1 biplane victory and a total of 11.
These where claimed during 132 combat missions and 36 air battles.
During his career he was decorated with the Order of the Red Banner (twice), the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class (twice) and the Order of the Red Star.
