Leitenant Pavel Vasilyevich Bolshakov

1914 –

Pavel Bolshakov was born in 1914.

When Germany attacked the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, Bolshakov served in 71 IAP-SF as part of the Northern Fleet Air Force.

Bolshakov was posted away from 71 IAP-SF in December 1941.

He was posted to 27 IAP-SF in March 1942 when this unit was formed on 12 March at Chalmpushka airfield as part of the Northern Fleet Air Force. With this unit he flew Polikarpov I-153s.

He was posted away from 27 IAP-SF in November 1942, when he was posted to 2 GIAP-SF. With this unit he flew Airacobras.

On 4 February 1943, he was decorated with the Order of the Red Banner.

He was decorated with a second Order of the Red Banner on 16 July 1944.

On 22 January 1944, he was decorated with the Order of Aleksandr Nevskii.

Lipin ended the war with 1 biplane victory and a total of 4.
These had been claimed during 348 combat missions and 45 air combats.

He was decorated with the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class on 18 August 1945.
