Isaak Borokhov was born in 1918.

He graduated from the flight school at Yeyskoye VMAU in 1941.

From March 1942, mladshiy leitenant Borokhov served in 11 IAP-KBF of the Air Force of the Baltic Fleet. With this regiment, he flew Polikarpov I-15bis.

Three I-16s and four I-15bis encountered a Kotka between 10:53 and 12:45 on 5 April 1942 in the Tytärsaari area at 1,300 meters. The I-15bis shot it down and then made forced landings on the ice due to fuel exhaustion.
Included pilots on the I-15bis were mladshiy leitenant Borokhov and Sergey Belyayev. Later a Bf 109 detachment shot one of them into flames. The only Finns over the Gulf of the Finland at that time were three I-153s of 3/LLv 6, which didn’t report meeting the enemy.

In April 1943, Borokhov was posted away from 11 IAP-KBF to 25 OAE-KBF.

In November 1943, he left 25 OAE-KBF when he was posted to 14 GIAP-KBF.

On 4 April 1944, starshiy leitenant Borokhov was shot down and killed by enemy anti-aircraft fire.

At the time of his death, Borokhov was credited with 1 biplane victory and a total of 4.
