Major Fedor Fedorovich Golubnichii
Fedor Golubnichii was born in 1907.
When Germany invade the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, Kapitan Golubnichii served in 87 IAP, flying Polikarpov I-15bis.
He left 87 IAP in August 1941 when he was posted to 263 IAP. With this unit he flew MiG-3s and LaGG-3s.
In May 1942, he left 263 IAP. The following month, June 1942, he was posted to 837 IAP and flew Hurricanes with this unit.
He was posted to 760 IAP in October 1944, flying Hurricanes and La-5s with this unit.
He left 760 IAP in November 1944.
Golubnichii ended the war with 1 biplane victory and a total of 7.
These had been claimed during 329 combat missions.
During his career he had been decorated with the Order of the Red Banner (twice) and the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class.
