Vadim Kulikov was born in 1922.

In February 1942, serzhant Kulikov was posted to 772 IAP, which operated on the Bryanks Front. The unit was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s.

772 IAP was only operational from 22 February 1942 until 10 May 1942 when the unit was disbanded. The personnel were transferred to 875 OSaP.

In March 1943, he was posted to 49 IAP.

He left 49 IAP in April 1944 when he was posted to 805 IAP.

In November 1944, he was posted to 863 IAP.

He was posted to 790 IAP in March 1945 and remained with this unit until the end of the war in May 1945.

Kapitan Kulikov ended the war with 1 shared biplane victory and a total of 4.
These had been claimed during 316 combat missions and 59 air combats (as of 27 April 1945).
