Petr Likin was born in 1912.

He graduated from Odessa Flight School in 1936.

When Germany invaded the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, starshiy leitenant Likin served in 42 IAP on the North-Western Front. This unit was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s.

Likin was posted from 42 IAP to 196 IAP in July 1941.

He left 196 IAP in September 1941.

In September 1942, he was posted to 91 IAP.

On 19 January 1944, he was posted as CO of the Birmskoy VASHL eskadrilya.

Kapitan Likin ended the war with 1 shared biplane victory and a total of 3.
