Petr Petrovich Lobkovsky

Petr Lobkovsky was born in 1921.
He graduated from the flight school in 1941.
In June 1942, Kasatkin served in 926 IAP-PVO, flying Polikarpov I-153s with this unit. This unit operated in the Stalingrad area.
In September 1942, he was posted from 926 IAP-PVO to 629 IAP and continued to fly I-153s on the Stalingrad Front.
On 28 September 1942, Lobkovsky was killed in aerial combat.
It is possible that he was shot down by Unteroffizier Otto Wirth from 3./JG 3, who claimed an I-153 at 11:55 at 300 meters altitude, 6 kilometres east of Aktuba
At the time of his death, Lobkovsky was credited with 3 biplane victories.
This had been claimed during 150 combat missions and 35 air battles.
On 5 November 1942, he was decorated with a post-humous Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class.
