Aleksey Sidorovskiy was born in Tot’ma in 1914.

He graduated from Kachinskaya flight school in 1940 and served as an instructor.

In September 1942, leitenant Sidorovskiy Grishayev was posted to 652 IAP. This regiment operated as part of Stalingrad Air Defence and was equipped with Polikarpov I-15bis.

On 9 October 1942, he claimed a Ju 88 in a ”taran” ramming attack near Stalingrad. He managed to return and land safely.
This claim was possibly made in combat with Ju 88s from KG 76. 1./KG 76 reported that Ju 88 A-14 F1+AH (WNr. 14420) made a forced landing at Stalingrad after having been attacked by enemy fighters. The Ju 88 had taken off from Tazinskaya and the crew of pilot Unteroffizier Hans Schmitt, observer Gefreiter Hans Meyer, wireless operator Unteroffizier August Metgen and air gunner Unteroffizier Hans Wals all became MIAs.

He was posted away from 652 IAP in February 1943 and in May 1943, he was posted to 88 IAP. This regiment flew LaGG-3s on the North Caucasus Front.

On 8 October 1943, kapitan Sidorovskiy was shot down by anti-aircraft fire and killed.

At the time of his death, Sidorovskiy was credited with 1 biplane victory and a total of 3.
