Kapitan Fedor Petrovich Skripchenko

1912 –

Fedor Skripchenko was born in 1912.

Mladshii Leitenant Skripchenko took part in the Soviet-Finnish Winter War of 1939-1940 flying in 56 IABR (probably in 44 IAP).

When Germany invade the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, Sokolov served in 194 IAP, flying Polikarpov I-153s.

After claiming one victory in the I-153, Skripchenko was posted to 26 IAP in November 1941. With this unit he flew I-16s.

On 22 November 1942, 26 IAP became 26 GIAP.

During a short period from 6 May 1943, the whole regiment was equipped solely with Hurricanes and he managed to make one claim with this now obsolete fighter.

He was posted from 26 GIAP to 11 GIAP in June 1943. With this unit he flew La-5s.

He was posted from 11 GIAP in October 1944.

Skripchenko ended the war with 1 biplane victory and a total of 8.
These had been claimed during 414 combat missions (as of 16 February 1944). During his career he had been decorated with the Order of the Red Banner, the Order of Aleksandr Nevsky, the Order of Patriotic War, 1st Class and the Order of the Red Star.
