Leitenant Nikolay Pavlovich Yeroshin

Nikolay Yeroshin was born in Reshatikha in 1913.
When Germany invaded the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, leitenant Yeroshin served as zveno CO in 127 IAP. This unit was at the time equipped with Polikarpov I-153s and based at Lesishche airfield outside Grodno.
In the morning of 22 June, he was killed while performing a frontal ”taran” ramming attack on a Bf 109.
At the time of his death, Yeroshin was credited with 1 biplane victory.
