Per Gudmund Olaus Ålund was born on 8 February 1918 at Muskö.

He took part as a volunteer during the Winter War were he served as a mechanic in LeR 3.

He served in Finland from 14 February 1940. During his time in Finland, he also served in T-LeR 2.

Nothing more is known about his service during the Winter War.

He was married on 20 April 1946.

Ålund passed away on 3 January 1989. At the time, he was living in Nyköping.
