Frans Grym was born on 14 June 1916 in Älvsby.

He served as a mechanic in LeR 2 from 24 February 1940.

Nothing more is known about his service during the Winter War.

On 2 June 1959, he was divorced.

He passed away on 22 December 1991 in Malmberget.
