Pavel Dankevich was born in 1918.

Dankevich took part in the Soviet-Finnish Winter War in 1939-1940.

In December 1941, starshiy leitenant Dankevich was posted to 347 IAP, which was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s.
Dankevich was to remain in this unit throughout the war.

Dankevich became CO of 347 IAP on 6 July 1943.

Dankevich ended the war with 1 shared biplane victory and a total of 6.
These had been claimed during 317 combat missions (as of 4 April 1945).

Dankevich left the command of 347 IAP on 31 December 1945.
