Timofey Ivliyev was born in 1919.
He graduated from Borisogleb flying school in 1938.
In December 1941, leitenant Ivliyev was posted to 347 IAP. This regiment was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s and started combat operations on the Crimean Front on 9 December 1941.
On 20 July 1942, the regiment transferred to the North Caucasian Front but already on 14 August, they were sent to the rear for retraining.
In the beginning of 1943, they retrained on the Yak-9.
The regiment went back to combat operations on 8 May 1943, equipped with Yak-9s.
347 IAP fought with FW 190s over Ol'khovatka on 5 July 1943 and starshiy leitenant Ivliyev claimed one over the city while Pavel Dankevich claimed one east of the city.
On 6 July 1943, Ivliyev didn’t return from a combat mission.
At the time of his death, starshiy leitenant Ivliyev was credited with 3 biplane victories and a total of 5.
These had been claimed during 188 combat missions and 14 air combats (as of 17 July 1942).
