Mikhail Nekrasov was born in 1914.

Starshiy leitenant Nekrasov took part in the Soviet-Finnish Winter war of 1939-1940 with 148 IAP. This regiment was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s.
Nekrasov didn’t make any claims during this conflict.

When Germany invaded the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, Nekrasov still served in 148 IAP. The regiment was still equipped with Polikarpov I-153s.

On 18 February 1942, six MiG-3s from 148 IAP claimed a shared Bf 109 between Plota and Maloye Yablonovo. Known participating pilots were Nekrasov and Ivan Rybin.

On 6 August, 148 IAP claimed Ju 87s west of Aksay when Nekrasov claimed one and Ivan Rybin claimed one shared with two other pilots.
Ivan Rybin had earlier claimed a shared Bf 109 north of Gniloaksayskaya station together with another pilot.

Nekrasov and Ivan Rybin claimed one Bf 109 each over Ol'khovskiy airfield on 12 August.

On 14 August 1943, podpolkovnik Nekrasov was killed in a flight accident while taking off.

At the time of his death, Nekrasov was credited with 2 shared biplane victories and a total of 9.
These had been claimed during 165 combat missions and 30 air combats.
