Mladshiy Leitenant Nikolay Timofeyevich Pavlov

1917 – March 1942

Nikolay Pavlov was born in 1917.

He graduated from Chkalovskaya flight school in 1940.

When Germany attacked the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941, mladshiy leitenant Pavlov served in 91 IAP. This regiment was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s and operated on the South-Western Front.

On 24 July, mladshiy leitenant Dmitriy Kovtyulev, mladshiy leitenant Konstantin Pavlov and mladshiy leitenant Pavlov claimed a shared He 113 (probably a Bf 109) over Fursy together with four other pilots.

Sometime between 21-31 July 1941, he did not return from a combat mission. He had been shot down in combat and landed in occupied territory. He joined a partisan detachment where he fought until March 1942.

In March 1942, he was killed in ground combat.

At the time of his death, Pavlov was credited with 1 biplane victory.
