Kapitan Konstantin Georgiyevich Pavlov

1918 –

Konstantin Pavlov was born in 1918.

In June 1941, mladshiy leitenant Pavlov served in 91 IAP, flying I-153s with this unit.

On 3 July, the I-153s from 91 IAP clashed with Bf 109s. Mladshiy leitenant Pavlov claimed four shared Bf 109s over Shepetovka together with mladshiy leitenant Grigoriy Murzin and four other pilots. One of the shared was also credited to mladshiy leitenant Dmitriy Kovtyulev.
Mladshiy leitenant Kovtyulev claimed an additional Bf 109 over Slavuta while mladshiy leitenant Grigoriy Murzin also claimed an additional Bf 109 during the day but at an unknown place.

Mladshiy leitenant Pavlov claimed a shared He 111 together with another pilot over Kiev on 13 July. It’s possible that this was claimed together with mladshiy leitenant Yuriy Kuvshinov since he is credited with a shared He 111 together with another pilot during the day.

On 24 July, mladshiy leitenant Dmitriy Kovtyulev, mladshiy leitenant Pavlov and mladshiy leitenant Nikolay Pavlov claimed a shared He 113 (probably a Bf 109) over Fursy together with four other pilots.

Pavlov was posted to 20 IAP in July 1941, continuing flying I-153s with this unit.

On 11 August 1941, he failed to return from a combat mission and was considered missing.
However, he returned but the circumstances regarding this have not been clarified.

He returned to 91 IAP in 1942 flying Yak-1 with this unit.

In March 1943, he left 91 IAP and in July 1943, he joined 814 IAP, flying Yak-1s and Yak-7s with this unit.

On 24 August 1943, 814 IAP became 106 GIAP.

He left 106 GIAP in November 1943.

From November 1943, he served in 39 ORAP, flying Yak-9Ps.

During 1944-1945 he claimed one enemy transport aircraft but the date has not been possible to verify.

Pavlov ended the war with 6 shared biplane victories and a total of 6.
During his career he was decorated with the Order of the Red Banner (twice), the Order of Alexander Nevsky and the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class.
