Andrey Raspertov was born in 1918.
Mladshiy leitenant Raspertov took part in the Soviet-Finnish Winter War in 1939-1940 flying I-15bis in 19 IAP and 152 IAP.
From July 1941, Raspertov served in 192 IAP. This regiment was equipped with Polikarpov I-153s. The regiment became operational on 30 July, covering Leningrad.
On 25 August, Raspertov claimed a shared Ju 88 over Spasskaya Polist' together with two other pilots. It’s possible that this was claimed together with leitenant Gennadiy Belikov since it’s known that he claimed a shared during the day.
From 21 September 1941, the 192 IAP didn’t conduct any combat work due to lack of material and Raspertov was posted away from the regiment during the month.
In February 1942, he was posted to 19 IAP.
This regiment had been in reserve since December 1941 and been re-equipped with LaGG-3s.
They became operational on 25 February on the Volkhov Front.
On 26 April 1942, 19 IAP was withdrawn from the front to become the training centre of the Volkhov Front. At the same time Raspertov was posted away from the regiment and sent to 3 GIAP.
From the 1 April, 3 GIAP served on the Leningrad Front with LaGG-3s.
The regiment was withdrawn from the front on 14 July to re-equip with Yak-1s but in August they started to train on the La-5 instead.
They became operational on the Kalinin Front on 23 October.
On 6 November, they were withdrawn from the front and two days later, on 8 November, they became operational on the Stalingrad Front.
On 12 December, Raspertov and Mikhail Mudrov claimed a shared He 111 north of Pitomnik airfield together with a third pilot.
On 3 January, they were transferred to the Southern Front.
From 2 March, the regiment was in the reserve and Raspertov left the unit during the same month when he was posted to 239 IAP. This regiment was at the time in the reserve.
On 1 June, the entered combat on the North Caucasian Front.
Between 10 July and 21 July, they were redeployed and entered combat on the Voronezh Front.
On 27 July 1943, kapitan Raspertov was shot down by anti-aircraft artillery and killed.
At the time of his death, Raspertov was credited with 1 shared biplane victory and a total of 5.
These had been claimed during 366 combat missions as of 7 July 1943.
He was officially credited with 5 and 5 shared victories but he probably had more shared victories.
